Some people think of breathing as something self-evident, because it is the most basic function of the body. However, we need to be aware of the fact that breathing greatly affects our health and influences how we feel.

Dr. Milan Hosta has been extremely successful as a breathing therapist for more than 10 years. He developed a comprehensive method for dealing with stress and some chronic symptoms of ill health (chronic fatigue syndrome, headaches, insomnia, asthma, allergies, high blood pressure, diabetes etc.) that is based on the Buteyko Breathing Technique. He is also a lecturer in Kinesiology at the University of Primorska.

He has a PhD in Philosophy and is a professor of physical education (MA) certified under Buteyko Breathing Association (trained in UK) also to practice the Buteyko breathing method. Furthermore, he has completed a national training program qualifying him to teach courses about asthma (called Asthma School) in Slovenia as well as was trained by the famous respiratory therapist Dan Brule. All of this ensures that Dr. Hosta’s workshops connect the body, mind and soul of his clients into an indivisible whole. Through this, anyone can develop the true sensibility that is needed when it comes to overcoming the stress. Additionally, Dr. Hosta provides his clients with a variety of breathing, mental, and physical exercises, which can immediately help them in stressful situations. Consequently, these can ease unwanted reactions such as panic, fight-or-flight responses, backing away from problems, taking too much personal responsibility for life events, uncontrollable anger, internal struggles like grief and disappointment, and the fear of failure or success.
